Every few weeks someone asks me about partner codes. Same question every time: do you get discounted fees or free trading?
Nope. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code won't affect it.
The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. Nothing more complicated than that.
How much do you get?
$1,000 deposit adds $200.
$2,000 gets you $400.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Most people won't hit that.
UK accounts start at £160 for £800 deposited. Scales up to £11,200 maximum.

The field is hidden
When you're signing up. After you enter your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click it. A field drops down. Type **128979**.

If the system rejects it, don't panic. Finish signing up. Message your account manager before you deposit. Request partner code 128979 be added. They handle this regularly.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
A trading volume condition applies.
About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. You'd AvaTrade Partner Code - 128979 need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.
Your deposit is yours. Take it out anytime. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.
Something useful to understand: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. Newer traders benefit from that extra cushion.
